The training is conducted in accordance with the guidelines of the Organization of Rope Access Technicians (OTDL).
The aim of the training is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to carry out basic-level inspections of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with applicable standards:

The training authorizes participants to carry out PPE inspections in accordance with PN-EN 365 and covers fall protection equipment from all manufacturers, provided that the manufacturer has not stated otherwise.
Duration: 2 days
Certificate validity: 3 years
Requirements:
- Minimum age of 18
- Demonstrated knowledge of the use and operation of PPE, which will be verified by the instructor
According to EN 365, a competent person authorized to carry out periodic inspections:
- is a person educated in the current requirements for periodic inspections, as well as the recommendations and instructions issued by the manufacturer applicable to a given component, subsystem or system.
NOTE 1: It is recommended that such a person be able to identify and assess the significance of damage, initiate corrective actions, and possess the skills and capabilities necessary to perform them.
NOTE 2: Training of a competent person by the manufacturer or its authorized representative may be required for specific PPE or equipment due to its complexity, modern design, or when critical safety knowledge is necessary to disassemble, reassemble or assess PPE or other equipment. Repeated training may be required due to modifications or the introduction of newer equipment versions.
NOTE 3: A person may be competent to carry out periodic inspections of a single specific PPE item or other equipment, or may be competent to inspect several models. - should demonstrate an understanding of how the equipment works, potential defects, wear, etc.
- should possess knowledge of the use of the above-mentioned equipment or equipment of similar function.
- should have experience (theoretical and practical knowledge) enabling the detection of defects and damage, as well as the assessment of their severity and impact on user safety.
- should be capable of making appropriate decisions and issuing a clear verdict on whether the equipment can be approved for continued use.
- should be authorized by the employer to perform such inspections, as the employer is responsible for appointing a person with appropriate competence to inspect work-at-height equipment.
