NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Health and Safety Leadership Excellence.

The training has been developed jointly by NEBOSH and the UK national health and safety regulator, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
It is designed for leaders, directors, senior managers, and individuals aspiring to leadership roles.

Course Aim

The aim of the course is to develop leadership competence in occupational health and safety and to understand how leaders’ behaviors influence safety culture within an organization.

The training focuses on:

Building a positive health and safety culture and employee engagement
Understanding the relationship between leadership and workplace safety
Shaping attitudes and management styles that support safety
Analyzing human factors and their impact on organizational performance
Implementing the HSE model of effective leadership

Moral, legal, and financial reasons for good health and safety leadership
The link between leadership and safety culture

How human failures can affect performance and culture
The HSE model of effective leadership
How leaders can build effective relationships with employees

Delivery Format

Mode: Online training and examination (live via Zoom)

Duration

Course and examination: approx. 7 hours
Preparation with study materials: approx. 3 hours
Total duration: approx. 10 hours

The examination is assessed by the course tutor.
If the participant does not achieve a pass, they will receive feedback and guidance for improvement, along with the opportunity to resubmit the assignment.
