This is a training course for employees who are required to enter confined spaces classified as low, medium, or high risk (non-standard, non-routine entry where there is a high probability of serious hazards occurring; the worker protects the respiratory system using a breathing apparatus).
The training complies with the guidelines of the Organization of Rope Access Technicians (OTDL).
Certificate validity: 3 years.

- Legal issues
- Definition and classification of confined spaces
- Typical hazards occurring in confined spaces
- Issues related to work permits, ventilation, and atmospheric monitoring
- Qualified personnel and teamwork during entry into confined spaces
- Communication used during confined space entry
- Vertical access equipment used in confined spaces (tripods, davit arms, winches, self-retracting devices)
- Emergency situations in confined spaces
- Classification of escape breathing apparatus
- Design and pre-use inspections
- Donning procedures
- Correct use of escape breathing apparatus in hazardous situations
- Emergency procedures
- Classification of breathing apparatus
- Design and pre-use inspections
- Donning procedures and fit testing
- Calculation of working time when using breathing apparatus
- Correct use of breathing apparatus
Duration: 3 days
Requirements:
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Good physical condition
- Completed training in safe work at height; if not completed, the confined space training will be preceded by a 1-day working-at-height course
- No medical contraindications for working at height
