OTDL ( Organization of Rope Access Technicians).
An organisation of rope access technicians. OTDL authorisations are the Polish equivalent of IRATA or SPRAT authorisations. The certificate is accepted by many entrepreneurs on the Polish market but not recognised abroad.
The validity of the certificate is 3 years.
There are 3 levels of authorisation:
- Level 1 – Rope access trainee
A trainee can perform rope access work under the supervision of a person with a Level 3 qualification.
- Level 2 – Rope access technician
The Technician has the knowledge and skills to prepare positions, build and operate hoisting systems, and participate in rescue operations. He can perform rope access work under the supervision of a person with level 3 qualifications.
Requirements:
– a minimum of 12 months experience in high-altitude work,
– documented a minimum of 1,000 hours of work as a technician with level 1 qualification. - Level 3 – Rope access specialist
A specialist at this level has full knowledge and skills in rope access allowing him or her to also prepare and supervise the work of other employees from levels 1 and 2. A rope access specialist also has a current first aid certificate.
Requirements:
– a minimum of 12 months experience in high-altitude work,
– documented a minimum of 1,000 hours as a technician with Level 2 qualifications.
Direct progression to Level 2 or Level 3 is available.
Requirements for direct progression to Level 2:
- 3 years of experience in a two-rope system,
- accumulation of 2000h in rope access,
- meeting the requirements of the Rope Access Technician Organization Guidelines: Certification System.
Requirements for direct passage to Level 3:
- 4 years of experience in rope access,
- accumulation of 3000h in rope access,
- meeting the requirements of the Rope Access Technicians Organization Guidelines: Certification System,
- submission of two letters of reference from current or former employers.
Duration: 5-6 days (4-5 training days + 1 exam day)
Requirements:
- 18 years of age or older,
- good physical condition,
- no contraindications to working at height.
