The course is designed for people who want to acquire the knowledge needed to perform sectional felling of trees using a petrol chainsaw in the tree canopy.
The trainee will also acquire the knowledge necessary to take a simple rescue action in the event of a threat to his own health and life, as well as that of his co-workers.
The certificate is recognised for admission to the European Treeworker certification or sectional felling course.

- introduction to mechanical tree reinforcement systems,

- knots used during tree climbing using rope access techniques,
- rope installation techniques,
- tree climbing techniques,
- techniques for moving in the tree canopy, and techniques for giving work positions,
- procedures and techniques for rescue from a tree,
- basics of load control (Rigging),
- use and operation of the chainsaw,
- techniques for felling and falling trees,
- techniques for limbing and thinning timber,
- health and safety when operating a chainsaw,
- selection and basic information on equipment used in sectional tree felling,
- techniques for cutting at height,
- forces arising during load control,
- procedures related to joining the tree work (inspection, organisation),
- procedures related to joining a tree (inspection, organisation),
- techniques for moving in a treehouse, positioning oneself on the trunk,
- load control,
- procedures and techniques for rescue from the tree trunk.
Duration: 15 days
Requirements:
- 18 years of age or older,
- good physical condition,
- No contraindications to work at height.
