HEALTH AND SAFETY AT WORK PERIODIC

The training updates and supplements knowledge and skills in:

health and safety regulations and rules related to the work performed,
hazards associated with the work performed and methods of protection against these hazards,
dealing with accidents and emergencies.

Validity of the certificate:

for labour positions – 3 years,
on labour positions where there are exceptionally high risks to the safety or health of workers – 1 year,
on positions of persons in charge of employees and for the employer – 5 years.

The first periodic training should be held:

for persons in labourer positions within 12 months of starting work,
for employers and persons in charge of employees within 6 months of the start of work.

Training program:

legal regulations on occupational safety and health, taking into account the regulations related to the work performed,
risks of factors occurring in the processes of work and the principles and methods of elimination or reduction of the impact of these factors on employees – taking into account changes in technology, organisation of work and workplaces, the use of collective and individual protection measures, the introduction of new devices, equipment and work tools,
principles of action in case of an accident at work and in emergencies (e.g., fire, emergency), including the principles of first aid in case of an accident,
circumstances and causes of accidents at work and related prevention.

Duration:

for persons employed in labour positions – 1 day (8 hours)
for employers and managers of employees – 2 days (16 hours)

Requirements: at least 18 years of age.
