The course is aimed at people who want to gain competence in safe work on trees. The training provides knowledge in the area of tree care and felling.
The course is designed especially for people or companies involved in green care or people who would like to get involved in this industry.
Training program:
- health and safety rules,
- selection and basic information on the equipment used in tree climbing,
- Rope access techniques in tree climbing,
- Basics of physiology, tree diagnosis, tree care. Pricing of work, risk estimation, assessment of the environment,
- methods and techniques of working with cutting tools during tree and shrub care (hand saw, hand saw on boom),
- basics of PPE review with legal requirements at a glance, and what type of equipment to use and in what situations,
- procedures related to tree work (inspection, organisation),
- knots used during tree climbing with rope access techniques,
- rope installation techniques,
- Tree climbing techniques – single rope technique (SRT/SRS),
- tree climbing techniques – double rope technique (DRT/MRS),
- lunge use,
- the practice of switching from SRT to DRT,
- techniques for moving in the tree canopy, and techniques for giving working positions. Cutting with cutting tools in the tree crown,
- procedures and techniques for rescue from the tree,
- basics of load control (Rigging).
The certificate is accepted for admission to the European Treeworker certification or sectional felling course.
Duration: 5 days (40 hours)
Requirements:
- 18 years of age or older,
- good physical condition,
- No contraindications to working at height.
